Cody Carlson resides in beautiful Lamar, Missouri! Cody is originally from Spokane Washington. She moved shortly after college to pursue her dream of being in radio. I love being on the air and connecting with people talking about life and everything that goes along with it the ups and downs! If you are out and about at one of our My Country 101.7 events, I would love to meet you. I’ve served up the hits in in San Diego CA, Colorado Springs, CO, Wichita KS, Guam, Missouri and Oklahoma! O.K, really I am done moving. In my spare time I like visiting antique shops, auctions and flea markets. I like to take walks and golf. Weekdays   3 – 7 pm

Hey, it’s Uncle Joe your evening and weekend guy here on My Country 101.7. As a kid growing up my father was a truck driver and loved country music.  I was a trumpet player in band and sang in choir at church and school. One Christmas my father received several country albums to play on our new stereo. As I sat and listened to the albums, I wondered, “What is so great about this country music deal?” Then, I heard the beautiful voices of Eddy Arnold, Ray Price and Jim Reeves. I was hooked. Although, just in my mid-teen years, it seemed I was a kindred spirit who could relate to all the great story lines in those songs. I’ve been in radio for about seven years now both in sales and as a jock, and I love it.  I acquired the name Uncle Joe when I worked on one of our sister stations in Chanute.  One of the jocks there told me I reminded him of his favorite uncle…and, you guessed it…I was “Uncle Joe”. As I often say, I am just like YOUR favorite uncle – only a little different.  Feel free to contact me via email at or call 620-232-5993.

Weekdays   7 pm – midnight

I’m newer to the world of radio, however I’m no stranger around a microphone. I’m the lead singer & guitar player for the country-rock band Conway Jackson. I stay busy traveling & playing when I’m not spinning tunes for you. I’ve been a music lover my entire life. While growing up in Arma, KS, my Mom listened to Country and my Dad listened to 50’s and 60’s Rock ’N’ Roll. There’s only 2 types of music in my opinion, good and bad. So that leaves my door wide open for anything from Merle Haggard to Snoop Dogg — or The Beatles to Lady Gaga. If it’s good, it’s good. I’m also a HUGE KU basketball and Chiefs fan. You can find me screaming at a TV near you when either team is playing. RCJH!!!!
